Do you ever wonder how you can get more traffic to your web site?

When I first started online, I knew that the key to my success (or one of them, anyway) was going to be getting traffic to my web site. I guess I have always been confident in my ability to write, or to create web pages that work, but driving traffic to my web site? I knew that would be a learning curve!

I tried everything! Guaranteed traffic, safelist traffic, advertising traffic like classifieds and PPC, and nothing really worked.

Just by accident, I stumbled on article marketing. Article marketing generally involves writing articles and sending them to the various online article directories for the purpose of generating backlinks to your web site, which generally encourages the search engines to rank your web site more favorably.

But what I found was that I was getting a lot of traffic from the articles themselves. I began to test the various article directories until I found a few that created the highest results for myself, and began to write a lot of articles.

My web traffic increased incredibly, and what was best was that the traffic was really high quality traffic – higher quality than just about any other traffic I have bought!

So how do you do it?

1) Write articles about your web site topic.

2) Create a link to your web site in your bio, and add a compelling reason for them to click through to your web site.

3) Submit the articles to the top five article directories online.
